Foamjacking is another name for polyurethane concrete jacking, a method of concrete slab leveling that's steadily gaining in popularity due to its versatility and cost effectiveness. Leveling concrete using foamjacking is 75% less expensive than replacing the concrete slab and its 80% faster than other concrete leveling methods including mudjacking and pressure grouting.
Foamjacking is similar to mudjacking but instead of pumping a concrete slurry under the slab we inject a polyurethane foam that expands immediately filling any subsurface voids and raising the slab to a level position. The polyurethane foam cures within fifteen minutes so the slab is ready for immediate use. No waiting for the slurry to dry and cure as is the case for mudjacking.
Polyurethane has a compressive strength that provides a solid dense base whose tensile strength allows the material to remain pliable instead of rigid and unforgiving. The water-resistant characteristics of polyurethane allows it to act as a moisture barrier that seals the slab's underside preventing future water infiltration and erosion.
