Concrete Leveling for Amphitheaters
Amphitheaters are an open-air venue used for entertainment, performances, and sports. When they are in need of concrete repair, it is important that the repair is done quickly and be ready for use immediately. The concrete in an amphitheater can become damaged due to the soil beneath it. When the soil becomes too wet it will heave. When it is too dry, the soil will shrink. This constant shifting of the soil causes concrete to become unlevel and also crack.
Polyjacking.com can help with concrete repair in amphitheaters. Some of the more common problems with concrete are:
If the concrete in the amphitheater is in need of repair, we have the equipment and products to get the repair done quickly and keep the amphitheater up and running with the least possible disruption.
Polyjacking for Amphitheaters
Polyjacking uses high-density polyurethane to level concrete in amphitheaters. With the correct poly equipment, this is a relatively simple process.
- A small 5/8" hole is drilled through the affected concrete
- Using a highly specialized system, the polyurethane foam is injected into the void beneath the concrete. It then expands to fill the voids entirely and the concrete is raised and permanently stabilized.
- After the injection, the holes are filled and the site cleaned up.
- Polyurethane has a short hardening time so the concrete is ready for use in about 15 minutes.
Compared to other solutions, like mudjacking, polyurethane concrete leveling is more efficient and is 75% more economical. It is much faster to complete compared to other methods. This method of concrete leveling was initially used on large DOT projects but it is now a more cost-effective method to use on smaller scale projects.
We use ground penetrating radar to locate the voids and other objects below the concrete. This gives us an accurate location and is much more economical than the x-ray method.
